Selangor FC will face Dynamic Herb Cebu FC at the Rizal Memorial Stadium, Manila, Philippines for the sixth match of the 2024/25 ACLTwo, today, at 6pm (Malaysian time).

Selangor FC has been drawn in Group H with three clubs from three different countries, Muangthong United F.C. (Thailand), Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (Republic of Korea) and Dynamic Herb Cebu FC (Philippines) competing in Group H of the 2024/25 ACLTwo.

Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors once again tops the Group H table with nine points, followed by Selangor FC in second place with seven points, then Muangthong United F.C. with five points and Cebu F.C. in fourth place with one point.

According to Selangor FC Head Coach, Katsuhito Kinoshi, regardless of the type of pitch, we still have to play our way; aggressive football and to not give up easily.

“Every match is important. The team came to Manila with the mentality to get a win and advance to the next round. But first we need to show our way with full confidence, I am sure the results will be in line with the efforts we give,” he said.

“Regarding the turf field, for me, no matter what type of field we will play, the players will find a way to adapt and I am sure they will give their best for the club,” he added

“After the past two matches, I have gotten to know the players better and there are a few things I want to try. Therefore, there may be a few different faces in these upcoming matches. However, Selangor FC is still Selangor FC, we need to maintain the pattern of play and bring home the victory.” He explained

Regarding the players’ update, Noor Al-Rawabdeh suffered an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury, Ruventhiran suffered a tissue injury in his front leg, Khuzaimi strained his hamstring, while Samuel Somerville is carrying a knee injury.

The Selangor FC management is confident that the team will give their best for the sixth match of the ACLTwo 2024/25 competition to book a slot in the knockout round of the ACL Two 2024/25. Rise, Red Giants!
